The Nilgiris – Wellington

It was a fabulous 15 km drive from Ooty to Wellington – we got down to see many beautiful spots on our way. Wellington is a small, quiet town managed by defense authority. It is extremely clean and refreshing.

I was particularly impressed by the Wellington Gymkhana Golf Club, right in the middle of beautiful hills and dales. It would be a brilliant idea to spend a few moments here and take in the surrounding beauty. It’s not just easy on your eyes, but very refreshing for your heart and soul as well. Keeping everything aside, I made it a point to sit on the mellow grass and look around for a while.

After glancing through the defense area, we headed off to our next Nilgiris destination - Coonoor.
