| On the way to Mysore |
Relaxed, free-spirited and fun without reservations – those
are the main ingredients of a road trip! An expedition by road makes the
journey even better than the destination. 140 km drive from Bangalore to Mysore
was one of such trips that I enjoyed quite a lot – it’s a highway that offers
many beautiful sights on the way. We started at around 10 am in the morning and
reached Mysore in the afternoon.
I believe road trip is an exceptionally good way to explore
a place. It’s a different kind of excursion altogether. You can shrug all kinds
of worries off your mind, and just set off, and let things take their own
course. You can stuff as much food and luggage that you want, play the music of
your choice, get down to click pictures, and take a break whenever you feel
like. Sounds good, right?

Palace
If I talk about Mysore, I would say that I did not find it
out of the ordinary. I had heard a lot about the famous Mysore Palace, and as
usual, I was quite excited and keen to see it. However, it did not turn out the
way I expected. Maybe I expected a lot, or maybe it’s overrated. Whatever the case may be, I still
enjoyed the whole experience of visiting it, and who knows, I might like it next
time.
Mysore is one of the popular weekend getaways from Bangalore. Since weather is pleasant most of the time, it's pretty easy to plan a quick trip anytime you like.

DeleteTry taking NH212 from Mysore and driving all the way to Kozhikode. If you're lucky you'll see some wildlife near the Kerala-Karnataka border. And between Wayanad and Kozhikode there's a scenic ghat section.
